Preventative treatment may be suitable for an adult who notices faint lines lingering after the face has relaxed or who has strong facial movements that repeatedly fold the same areas. Age alone does not determine the right starting point. Muscle strength, facial habits, skin condition, and personal goals all matter.
Botox® does not restore lost cheek volume or improve widespread skin laxity. Its role is movement-related wrinkle care, which makes it distinct from fillers and collagen stimulators.
How Collagen-Stimulating Treatments Work
Collagen provides support within the skin, but the body gradually produces less of it over time. Collagen-stimulating treatments encourage a regenerative response rather than relying solely on gel-like volume placed beneath a specific wrinkle.
Our injectable options in this category include Sculptra® and Hyperdilute Radiesse®. These biostimulator injectables have different formulations and applications, but both may support gradual improvements in facial or skin quality concerns.
Sculptra®
Sculptra® is used to stimulate collagen and address broader areas of facial volume loss. It may be considered for the cheeks, temples, jawline, or deeper facial folds when the goal is a progressive change rather than immediate filling.
Results develop as the body responds over time. This gradual process can appeal to patients who prefer subtle improvement that becomes more noticeable across the following months.
Hyperdilute Radiesse®
Hyperdilute Radiesse® is prepared differently from traditional volumizing filler. In its diluted form, it can be applied across an area to enhance firmness, elasticity, and texture.
Treatment may be considered for areas where skin quality has changed, rather than for those where a sharply defined volume pocket is needed. The most appropriate placement depends on the condition and thickness of the skin.
Collagen stimulators require patience. They are not intended to produce the same immediate contouring effect as a conventional filler appointment. What Traditional Dermal Fillers Can Address
Dermal fillers add volume directly beneath the skin. They may be used to restore facial support, refine contours, soften certain folds, or enhance features such as the lips.
Our filler options include Restylane® and Revanesse® Versa™ products. Product selection and placement depend on the treatment area, tissue characteristics, and the type of correction being planned.
Fillers may be considered for concerns such as:

Unlike Botox®, filler does not reduce muscle contractions. Unlike Sculptra®, it does not primarily rely on gradual collagen production to achieve its initial effect. Volume changes are generally visible soon after injection, although swelling and bruising can temporarily affect the early appearance.
Thoughtful filler treatment is based on proportion rather than adding as much volume as possible. Small, precise adjustments can often yield a softer, more balanced result.
